Dear Parents and Guardians,
May he equip you with all you need for doing his will. May he produce in you, through the power of Jesus Christ, every good thing that is pleasing to him. All glory to him forever and ever! Amen. Hebrews 13:21 (NLT)
I trust that you are all experiencing the many blessings God has planned for you in this new year. Ironically, many sources say that it’s about this time in January when people, if they made New Year’s resolutions, begin to start letting them lapse. We have had great success with our “phone free campus” this year for students during the school day. Thanks to this change, students’ engagement with one another is up and the mood on campus seems healthier and happier. Whether you made a New Year’s resolution around technology or not, I’d love for you to have healthy communication with your family regarding your child’s online presence and consumption of online/streaming material. Your child’s teacher shares a consistent message from LGCA about being cautious of what students share online as it only takes a second for someone to screenshot a conversation, comment or image and then share it with anyone of their choosing. Furthermore, we also need to be mindful of the media our children are consuming online. Whether it’s through our TVs or through our personal devices, with multiple streaming services, and even the impact of YouTube (that spirals downward quickly), our young people are exposed to so many temptations and much questionable content. So whether you made a New Year’s resolution or not, I pray that we would all resolve to be the best role models we can be for the children God has blessed us with.

When should you keep your child at home?
With the flu and cold season upon us, we kindly ask that you refrain from sending your child to school if they are showing any symptoms of illness. (i.e. cough, runny nose, fevers, headaches, sore stomach etc). This will help keep everyone both staff and students healthy and reduce the spread of germs. Thank you for your cooperation and understanding.
Tax Receipts
With the upcoming tax season, we will be issuing tax receipts to families. If you have recently moved or changed your address and have not yet notified the school office, kindly provide us with your updated address at your earliest convenience. This will ensure that your tax receipt is sent to the correct location.
Thank you for your attention to this matter.
